Dudley’s Cave and the Circle of Fire<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Introduction<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I call this an \u201cintervention\u201d course.\u00a0 An intervention as I use it here is an attempt to make a change in personal behavior at a specific time in a person\u2019s life.\u00a0 Recently my wife and I were given the \u201copportunity\u201d to lead a group of middle school students during our church\u2019s Wednesday night program.\u00a0 If you have ever taught this age group (11 \u2013 13 years old) or if you have children in this age group, then you surely know how frustrating and \u201cwild\u201d they can be at times.\u00a0 The reality, however, is that this time in their lives will greatly determine the path they will follow in life.\u00a0 Sadly, many will turn to the destructive forces in the world seeking fun, wealth, and power.<\/h3>\n

If, as Christian disciples, we are to reach the next generation, this age group is the critical target. This is the age group for an \u201cintervention\u201d.\u00a0 I hope this course provides the \u201cintervention\u201d that will result in the desired behavior change of your middle school youth \u2026 specifically a young life dedicated to Christ.<\/h3>\n

\u201cChange\u201d is a popular concept now.\u00a0 But knowing what we are changing to is as important as changing.\u00a0 Middle School students are changing rapidly: physically, mentally, and emotionally.\u00a0 What they are changing to is often determined by peers, television, movies, family, and sports.\u00a0 Having spent most of my career developing and implementing corporate change, the opportunity to teach this age group, I believe, is an intervention from God in my own life.\u00a0 So, with God\u2019s help and inspiration, I present you with an \u201cintervention opportunity\u201d in the lives of 11-13 year olds.\u00a0 Together, let\u2019s put these young people on the path to God\u2019s Dream for their lives.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I cannot tell each student the Dream of God for their lives in this series, however, I hope they gain the wisdom to identify the Dream on their own. Some will discover the Dream early in life, while others, like myself, will require many years of God’s loving interdiction.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This course is part of a larger series called \u201cI Am: The Greatest Battle\u201d. The first three books, \u201cDudley\u2019s Cave and the Circle of Fire\u201d are provided in this website. The next book: “Return of the Jewels\u201d is available on lulu.com. In this\u00a0fourth book,\u00a0teens will journey to many parts of the world in search of the \u201cHigh Priest Jewels\u201d lost by Dudley in book three, \u201cIn Search of Elijah\u201d. The purpose of the\u00a0fourth book is to teach the wisdom of Paul’s “Breastplate of Love” in parallel with the\u00a0meaning of each of the jewels of the High Priest breastpiece.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Book 5: The Silver Cup, students will learn about the results of the disciples drinking from the cup\u00a0at the Lord’s last meal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Book 6: The Golden Lampstand, students will discover worship as the Lord intended it to be in the old and new covenants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As with all books within the series, I hope to\u00a0encourage team and relationship\u00a0 building, plus a little courage!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
